How I Came to Read Tea Leaves
When I was a child, my mother used to read our tea leaves just for fun. She said she learned by quietly watching the Roma gypsies who would camp near the small Midwestern town where she grew up.
I always knew I had a natural intuition, and I somehow assumed I could read tea leaves too, without formal training, just by feeling into it. Because I felt comfortable with the ritual of tea and the gentle mystery of the leaves, it naturally became my way of channeling insight.
I see tea leaf readings as a cooperative effort between myself and the person sitting with me. The shapes and images in the leaves help clarify and support what I’m already sensing.
And there’s something about the whole experience that creates a cozy, non-threatening space—warm tea, gentle focus, and soft curiosity. Guidance comes through more easily in that kind of atmosphere. It often feels light, even joyful.
A Tea Leaf Reading Session
Sessions typically last 30–45 minutes:
